Hold Services Sunday For Orville Goodman

Services for Orville Daniel Goodman, 80, North English, were Sunday Jan. 7 at 2pm in Best Funeral chapel, North English. The Rev. Karen Merrill of the United Methodist Church officiated.

Goodman died Jan. 4, 1979 at English Valley Nursing Care center, North English.

Organist for the services was Patricia Best.

Casket bearers were George McCallister, Owen Jones, Roy Wiebold, Robert Lillis, George S. and David G. Denison. Interment was in Pilot Cemetery, Iowa County.

Born Oct. 11, 1898 in English Township, Iowa County, he was the son of Daniel Henry and Lena E. Klever Goodman. He married Laura I. Roberts. The couple farmed in the Millersburg community many years.

He moved to the English Valley Care center two years ago. His wife died July 8, 1976.

Surviving are his daughters, Carolyn (Mrs. Robert) Kelley, North English; two grandchildren, Scott Daniel and Tamara Rae Kelley, North English; and a sister, Mrs. Merlin Stahl, Williamsburg.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
