Louis Klever, 79

Funeral services for Louis J. Klever, 79, Williamsburg, were held at 1 pm Feb. 10 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. He died Monday, Feb 8, 1999 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, after a sudden illness.

The Rev. Alan Hafner officiated at the service.

Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery near Williamsburg with military rites by Iburg Poulson VFW Post 8797. Casket bearers were James Heitshusen, Allan Heitshusen, Loren Folkmann, William Wehner, Randy Glandorf and Loren McCammant.

Uhlmann-Powell Funeral home, Williamsburg, was in charge of arrangements.

Louis John Klever was born March 3, 1919, near Williamsburg, the son of William John and Sarah Reed Klever. He attended rural school and served in the Army during World War II.

He married Delores Glandorf Sept 9, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. He was a retired farmer and worked around the Williamsburg area, helping people with many tasks.

Klever is survived by his wife, two daughters, Donna Klever, Marengo and Deb Garringer, Williamsburg; two brothers, Walter Klever and Virgil Klever, both Marengo; one sister, Mary McCammant, Millersburg and four grandchildren, David, Jason and Nick Wiebold and Kasey Garringer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Lucille McCammant, Frances Meyer and Edith Klever.
