Danielle Meyer, 34, of Deep River passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City after her courageous battle with leukemia. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Friday, October 16, 2009 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in rural Victor with Pastor David MacKain officiating. Visitation will begin after 10:00 am on Thursday, October 15, 2009 with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Interment will be held in Golden Rod Cemetery in Deep River.

Danielle Ilene Meyer, daughter of Dennis and Alana (Icenbice) Meyer was born on April 26, 1975 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She attended Deep River Millersburg Schools and graduated from Montezuma High School in 1993. Danielle received her Bachelor Degree from Iowa State University in 1997. She worked for Life Touch National School Studios for 12 years and as a private photographer. Danielle enjoyed gardening, caring for animals, crafting and photography. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, writing, music and above all her family and friends. Danielle was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church, Golden Key International Honor Society and the Deep River American Legion Auxiliary Post 296.

Her memory will be cherished by her parents, Dennis and Alana Meyer of Deep River; two sisters, Angie (Bill) George of Deep River and Monica Meyer (Todd Wali) of Ladora; two nephews, Sydney and Joey George; her grandmothers, Ilene Meyer and Evelyn Icenbice and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Danielle was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Kenneth Icenbice and Roy Meyer. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Danielle.
