Mary McCammant, 88

Funeral services for Mary G. McCammant will be held at 10:30 am today, Thursday, Dec. 20, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, North English. She died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a sudden illness.

The Rev. Mary McAtee will officiate. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery northwest of Millersburg.

Memorials may be made to the Millersburg Methodist Church.

Mary Gertrude McCammant was born Nov. 24, 1913, in Pilot Township near Williamsburg, the daugher of J.W. and Edna Reed Klever. She attended Pilot Grove School.

She married Harry Vincent McCammant in the early 1940s. They farmed north of Millersburg until he died in 1968. She then moved to Millersburg.

She was a member of the Millersburg Methodist Church.

McCammant is survived by one brother, Virgil Klever, Marengo; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte McCammant, North English and Delores Kelver, Williamsburg; one brother-in-law, Tom Little, Grinnell and other relatives.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; four sisters, Edith Klever, Lucille McCammant, Frances Meyer and an infant sister and two brothers, Walter Klever and Louis Klever.
