JOHN C. KLEVER FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, December 8, for John C. Klever who passed away at his home in Williamsburg, Sunday December 5, 1943, with the Rev. J.B. Pritchard in charge.

The music was furnished by Mrs. G. C. Chandler, Merwyn Jones and a solo by Joseph McCoy.

Interment was in Pilot Grove cemetery. The pallbearers were: Ralph Lortz, E.C. Edwards, M.K. Poulson, Albert Hradek, L.J. Lubbert, and H.A. Halverson.

John C. Klever, son of Detleff and Maria Klever was born in Keilholstein, Germany, September 12, 1866. He came to America September 12, 1868. On September 12, 1894 he was united in marriage with Miss Estella Slager in the home of the bride's parents. The home was established on a farm in Pilot township where they resided until they retired and moved to Williamsburg seventeen years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Klever were the parents of four children. One son, Elvin, preceded the father in death. The children are Floyd Klever of Pilot township, Mrs. Ethel Bean of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Marjorie Marling of Schafter, California. On brother, Fred Klever, two sisters, Mrs. Lena Goodman and Mrs. Anna Slager also survive, as well as four grandchildren: Loyd Klever who makes his home with his grandparents; Leo and Sherlene Bean and Clarice Marling.

Mr. Klever was a faithful member of the Methodist church. He was a highly esteemed citizen, a kind and loving husband and father.

Williamsburg extends sincerest sympathy to the bereaved family.
