Elvin Henry, son of John C. and Estella B. Klever, died at the home of his parents in Pilot Township, Iowa County, Iowa, August 27, 1898, aged 12 years, 4 months and 25 days.

He was sick only one week, then God called him home, where sickness and suffering are unknown.

Services were held at the house at 2 o'clock and at the church at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S. S. Scull; then the remains of little Elvin were laid to rest in Pilot Grove cemetery.

A loved one from us is taken, the place never can be filled. Our darling little Elvin has gone to rest and sleep in Jesus' arms. May God grant that we may all become as pure as little Elvin, then we too shall belong to that kingdom and some day shall be reunited never to part.

Call not back the dear departed.
Anchored safe where storms are o'er.
On the border land we left him,
Soon to meet to part no more.

We desire by this means to express our most heartfelt thanks to our kind neighbors and friends who did so many sets of kindness for us during the sickness and funeral of our son.
