Tim Vang, age 32, of Grand Prairie, TX, formerly of Marengo, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas, TX from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, Marengo with Rev. Katie Z. Dawson officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 P.M. Friday, May 28, 2010 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Interment will be in Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his parents Ying and Nan Vang of Marengo; brothers and sisters: Feuang (Mine) Kavanh of Marengo, Theuang Vang of Fort Worth, TX, Thing (Savany) Vongvilay of Marengo, Bouaphanh (Jack) Sayachak of Euless, TX, Phairot Hoang of Joliet, IL, Angie (Anthony) Luong of West Des Moines, Sengdao (Por) Vanlo of Iowa City, Vinai (Jennifer) Vang of Solon, and Lokhoy Brecht (Joel) of Altoona. He is also survived by eight nephews, nine nieces, and the love of his life, Malee Souvannarith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, a nephew, and a niece. Tim was born October 2, 1977 in Vientiane, Laos the son of Ying Vang and Nan (Quang) Vang. He graduated from Iowa Valley High School and obtained a BS in Management Information Systems (MIS) from The University of Texas Arlington. Tim was employed by the YMCA Corporate Office in Fort Worth, TX in IT Systems Support. He enjoyed spending time with his roommate Malee, his family, and his friends. Tim was an athlete and enjoyed playing tennis, football, and working out. He also enjoyed working on cars.
