Duane Alan Fischer, 60, passed away suddenly Feb. 8, 2010 in Blythe. Duane was born April 21, 1949 in Williamsburg, Iowa to Leslie and Effie Fischer.

Duane worked for the Department of Corrections for 20 years, teaching inmates and educating them so they could .earn their G.E.D.

Duane is survived by his wife, Carmen D. Fischer; his daughter, Brianna (Rich) Moore; sons, Bryatt (Theresa) Fischer and Brandon Fischer; his granddaughter, Charissa Moore; his sister, Sharon (Winston) Bair; his brother, James (JoAnn) Fischer and his extended children, Venus, Nikita and Jerry Talavera.

Memorial service for Duane will be held Feb, 13, 2010 at 1 p.m at the Church of the Nazarene in Blythe.
