Williamsburg Journal-Tribune, Williamsburg (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 23 December 1920.

HERMAN DIETRICH WIEBOLD
Herman Dietrich Wiebold was born in Bremen, Germany, March 18, 1842. In his youth he came to this country with his parents and settled in Iowa township where for many years he made his living out of the soil of the earth.

In 1870 he was married to Wilhelmine Falkman, who remained his partner through life. To this union were born two children, Herman, who lives here and Adolph, living at Henriette, Minn.

Years ago he moved to Minnesota where he made his home with his son Adolph.

He died in Henriette, Minnesota, 14, 1920, aged 78 years, 8 months and 26 days. He leaves two dons, 18 grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The remains were brought here, the funeral being held at St. John's church, the interment being in their cemetery, Rev. John Uhlmna officiating.

Mr. Wiebold was a man who realized the grim lessons of life. At no time did he ever knowingly shrink from duty and always sought to do his best. He saw the world progress from the crude methods of living long ago to the modern up-to-date world with all its beauty and achievement. A life well lived was closed with the sleep of the just.
