MRS. HENRY SCHWARTING.
Mrs. Henry Schwarting died suddenly at her home in Iowa township, December 14.. She had been having good health and her untimely death was a distinct shock to all who knew her.

On April 27, 1883, there was born to Mr. and Mrs. Flagen a daughter who received the name Amalia Mathilde.

She was baptized by the late Rev. Baumheafner and attended St. John's school and was noted for those qualities which make the faithful student. While still at an early age she was confirmed with the rest of her class and grew to womanhood a model to her companions.

She was married October 20, 1904 to Henry Schwarting, also a resident of Iowa township. This union was blessed with five children, Martin Frieda, Ida, Emma, and a boy who died in infancy in 1915. She leaves her husband, one son, three daughters and one brother, John Flagen, of California. She died at the age of 37 years, 7 months and 17 days.

Interment was in Immanuel's cemetery, December 16, with Rev. R. Uhlmann officiating.

Mrs. Schwarting was a devoted Chritian. She was a member of the Lutheran church and distinguished herself as a true member of the flock. She will be mourned by all who knew her as a good woman and a painstaking mother.

To the bereaved family the sincerest sympathies of the neighborhood are offered.
