"Buster" Hummer dies in Virginia
Services were held Thursday, Nov. 8 for "Buster" Ira John Hummer at Virginia Beach, Va. where he has made his home for a number of years.

Mr. Hummer was born Nov. 25, 1921 in Williamsburg and died Nov. 8, 1973 at the hospital in Virginia after suffering a heart attack. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hummer Sr. former residents of York township. He spent his younger years on the farm with his parents before going into the navy in World War Two.

Survivors include his widow, one son, three daughters, one sister, Mrs. Donald "Betty" Schropp of Oxford, three brothers, Kenneth of Cedar Rapids, Ronald of Oxford and Vincent in California.
