Services Tuesday For Mrs. Ira Hummer, 71
Mrs. Ira Hummer of Oxford died Sunday, Oct. 10 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, after a short illness at age 71 years. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Federated church in Oxford.

Helen Eva Hummer was born June 23, 1900 in Iowa City, the daughter of John and Minnie YOung Goss. She was united in marriage Dec. 8, 1920 to Ira Hummer of Williamsburg.

She is survived by her husband and four sons: Ira Hummer of Virginia Veach, Va., Kenneth, Cedar Rapids, Ronald, Oxford, Vincent, Oakdale, Calif.; and one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Betty Jean) Schropp of Oxford; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also three sisters: Mrs. Florence Allison, Hempstead, N.Y., Mrs. Clara Evans, Williamsburg, and Mrs. Laura Johnson, Oxford.
