Anita T. Vogt, 87, of the Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center of an extended illness. Funeral Mass, Saturday, 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, by Rev. Nils Hernandez. Burial Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Stewart Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 5:30 p.m.. Survivors include a son David (Dotty) Hundley of Waterloo. A daughter, JoAnn Harris of Cedar Rapids. A sister Betty Kennedy of Cedar Rapids. 5 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jack Gordon and two sisters, Florence Burgess & Dolores Spieger. Anita was born, July 6, 1920 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Lester & Anna Finnerty Gordon. She married David Hundley on March 30, 1940, they later, divorced. She then married Loyel Vogt, on June 21, 1975, he died July of 1976. Anita worked for Ben Franklin Stores, as a cashier for 17 years, retiring in 1995. Anita loved to travel and playing cards. Anita loved spending time with her son & daughter and her grandchildren. Anita was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church & the Alter & Rosary Society in Williamsburg. Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of Mercy, in her name.
