Cecilia “Cec” Doschadis was born March 26, 1924 near Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Lavida (Wright) Mulneaux. She graduated from Walker High School in 1941. Cec was united in marriage on June 7, 1947 to Marvin W. Doschadis in Walker, Iowa. Cecilia will be most remembered as a wonderful wife & mom. She made sure every day was complete... great meals, clean home & a smile to greet you. She was a person that cared more about others than herself & was extremely kind. She truly believed, & followed The Golden Rule: ("Do onto others as you would have them do onto you") each & every day of her life. Although a very private person she had many talents that she shared with those close to her... drawing very detailed house plans, decorating her home with "style", growing beautiful plants & sewing. She loved to read & was a "crosswords puzzle champ". Bowling was a big part of Cec's life for many years. She enjoyed the game, the trips & all of the wonderful friends that were a part of her bowling experience. She also enjoyed playing bridge. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Cec & Marv enjoyed many vacations including several to Las Vegas. She taught her grandsons to play black jack & fulfilled a dream by taking all of them to Las Vegas in 1997. Always a lady, Cec's gentle nature, beautiful smile & loving spirit will live in our hearts forever. "Eternal Love" Cec peacefully passed away Saturday, February 23rd surrounded by her family at the Rose Haven Nursing Home after an extended illness at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her husband Marv, their children: Judy (Dave) Weber of Marion, Janet Doschadis of Anamosa & Mark (DeDe) Doschadis of Pella. Her grandchildren: Matthew (Teisha) Welsh, Scott (Jennifer) Welsh, Ryan (Kim) Doschadis, Barry Doschadis & step-granddaughter Shannon Rezac.
