December 31, 1890, in Sumner township, Iowa County, Iowa, of brain fever. James Marion Rumple, son of D.E. and M. O. Rumple, aged ten months and six days.
One sweet flower has drooped and faded.
One sweet infant's voice has fled,
One fair brow the grave has shaded,
One sweet darling now is dead.
It is now where harps are ringing
Throught the heavenly courts above,
And it's silvery voice is singing
With glad spirits hymns of love.
It is gone to heaven before us,
But it turns and waves its hand.
Pointing to the glories o'er us
In that happy spirit land.
