Jeanette C. Hartz, age 84, of Marengo, died of heart failure Monday morning, December 3, 2007 at her home. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 7, 2007, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be contributed to Marengo Senior Dining.

She is survived by her children, Linda Rump and husband Rick of Roseville, MN, Paula Blinkinsop and husband Gary of Davenport, IA, Jeff Hartz and wife Jan of Mansfield, TX and Sara Hartz of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Bryant Rump, Allison Keuning (Michael James), Eric Blinkinsop (Lindsay), Laura Nestor, Kara Nestor, Hunter Hartz and Stacy Hartz, and a great-grandson Tristan Keuning. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle Hartz in 1976, a brother, Judson Clements and a grandson, Lyle Blinkinsop.

Jeanette Maurice Clements was born May 19, 1923 in Copperas Cove, TX, the daughter of Judson and Ophelia Irvine Clements. She graduated from San Angelo High School, San Angelo, TX in 1939 and San Angelo State College in 1941. Jeanette married Lyle Harrison Hartz on March 20, 1943 in Eagle Pass, TX. Following World War II, the couple settled in Marengo. Jeanette was a mother and a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Marengo Golf Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Marengo for 61 years.
