Harold Eugene Thomas, 81, of 918 18th St. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Nils Hernandez. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes; and his daughter, Teresa (Michael) Robinson of Fargo, N.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald; and two sisters, Mirian DeLaney and Mary Stephenson.

Harold was born May 19, 1926, the son of Rama and Viola (Lane) Thomas, in North English, Iowa. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. On Jan. 28, 1950, Harold was united in marriage to Agnes Roman. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, American Legion Hanford Post #5 and P3 Union Retiree's board of directors.

Memorials may be made to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy or American Lung Association in memory of Harold.
