Nellie M. Patterson, age 90, died Sunday September 30, 2007 at Marengo Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday October 3, 2007, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with Pastor Tom Walsh officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements. survived by her five children Bonnie Voss, Jerry M. Patterson (Kathy), Robert Patterson, Linda May Patterson (Brian), and Sharon Patterson; seven grandchildren Vanessa McGivern (Jack), Anthony Voss, Susette Eckhardt, Allison Hall, Abby Hall, Justin Patterson, and Casey Patterson. five great-grandchildren, Megan, Tristen, John, Jasmine, and Kyia; two great-great-grandchildren, Delainey and Chayse. In addition she is survived by two sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, her parents, two brothers, three sisters and a son-in-law.Nellie was born March 16, 1917 in Barnette, Missouri, the daughter of William and Dolly Fry. She received her education in Iowa County. Nellie was united in marriage to Edwin M. Patterson on October 16, 1934 in Kahoka, Missouri. For ten years she cooked at the Bynumville Missouri Schools. She worked at the Marengo Memorial Hospital until retirement. Nellie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marengo. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, and loved flowers. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
