Keith D. “II-Bolt” Davis, age 68, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. Friends may call from 1 to 3 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo where a Family Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Alton Wagoner will officiate at the service. Memorials may be directed to the family.

He is survived by his wife Ardath; his children, Lee Allen Davis and fiancée Tanya Buzzanga of Coranado, CA and Lisa Lyn Popelka and special friend Steve Peska of Marengo, Iowa; four grandchildren, Bailee and Jacob Davis, Cassidy Popelka and Alex Peska. Also surviving are his siblings, Doris Wrage and husband Everett of Omaha, NE, Charles Davis and wife Dee of Shellsburg, IA, Mary Dorman and husband Robert of Port Orange, FL, Carol Patterson and husband Dan of Amana, IA and Jane Wilson and husband Brent of Grundy Center, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, Kenneth and a daughter-in-law, Shawna.

Keith Dean Davis was born April 3, 1939 in Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of Howard Franklin and Lois Louise Boege Davis. He received his education in the Grundy County schools and attended Grundy Center Community School. He later received his GED. Keith served in the U.S. Army for three years, stationed at Fort Bliss, TX and also in Germany. He married Ardath E. Sperry Klima on November 21, 1984 in Williamsburg. Keith “II-Bolt” was an iron worker and welder for many years. He also worked as a dredge operator at the Marengo Ready-Mix. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing, especially spending time with his coyote hunting dogs, which he fondly referred to as his “children”.
