Becky Ann Van Dee, age 43, of Williamsburg, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at her home following a sudden illness. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 7, 2007, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Marengo with Fr. Joseph Roost officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.

She is survived by two daughters, Nicole Van Dee and Whitney Van Dee, both of Iowa City; a son Chase Van Dee at home; her parents, David and Cheryl George of Marengo; a brother Jeff George of Marengo; and her companion Brian Klein of Victor. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Virgil and Fleeta Oswalt and paternal grandparents, Robert and Genevieve George.

Becky Ann George was born July 24, 1964 in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of David and Cheryl Oswalt George. She graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 1982. Becky married Dennis Michael Van Dee on September 5, 1987. The couple later divorced. Becky was employed for over 20 years as an assembler at Amana Refrigeration. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing, camping, and gardening were her pastimes, but her children were the most important part of Becky’s life.
