Caroll J. Roberts, age 69 of Anamosa died Friday August 17, 2007 at the Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 Monday afternoon, August 20, 2007 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa with interment in the Piersol Cemetery, rural North English. Rev. Laurie Riley will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 3 until 6 Sunday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Surviving are 3 children, Chuck (Mary) Roberts, Kinross, Iowa, Lyle Roberts and Mary Roberts, Marion. 2 Grandchildren, 5 great-Grandchildren and a sister, Charlotte (Doug) Hoover, Anamosa. He was preceded in death by his Parents, a brother Dale and 2 sisters, Ann Ganrich and Phyllis Roberts. Caroll J. Roberts was born September 1. 1936 in Iowa County, Iowa. He was the son of Oliver and Sadie Wade, Roberts. He received his early education in the Parnell Schools and graduated from the Viola, Iowa Schools. Carroll served in the United States Army. He was married to Patricia Wilkins and they later divorced. Carroll had farmed in the Center Junction, Viola and Parnell area’s. He drove a semi for Buck Hummer and Frohning Grain and worked at several Texaco Stations in Cedar Rapids. He was currently employed at Stickle Farms near Anamosa
