Charles Doyle Coulson, age 55, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Jeff Tackeberry officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg with military honors. Friends may call from 6 to 9 P.M. Monday, June 25, 2007 at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.

He is survived by his wife Peggy; his children, Melissa Algrim and husband Dustin of Olathe, KS and Tim Coulson of Marengo; his siblings, Sharon Parody of Ft. Meyer, FL, Sheryl Watkins (Harlan) of Latimer, IA and Dave Coulson of Biloxie, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Charles Doyle Coulson was born August 26, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Clell David and Pauline Cole Coulson. He received his education in the Williamsburg schools and graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Charles married “Peggy” Martha Bohrn on September 20, 1975 at the Methodist Church in Williamsburg. He worked as a hair stylist following completion of barber college. He then was employed for 16 years at Williamsburg Manufacturing as a certified welder, painter and also was a supervisor. Charles worked at Pick Wick Manufacturing as a painter for 4 ˝ years and then Kinze Manufacturing on large assembly for 2 years. He continued to work part-time during the 1 ˝ years of chemo therapy until he resigned in October of 2006.

Charles enjoyed collecting trains and airplane models, guns, old ceramics and antiques. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed baseball, camping, flea markets and the vacations to Florida.
