Memorial - Margaret Ann Miller, 70, of 648 – 18th Street SW, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Thursday, May 03, 2007, after a long illness. The family will greet friends at Cedar Memorial – Westside Chapel on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Parnell at a later date. Cedar Memorial – Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.Maggie is survived by her children, Linda (Mike) Lambeth of Springtown, TX, Tracy Goodwin of Saginaw, TX, Terrilyn (Jim) Heilman of St. Louis, MO, and Kenneth Miller Jr. of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Emma Turnbull of Largo, FL; a brother, John (Wanda) Burck of Cedar Rapids; a brother-in-law, Jack Turnbull of Hudson, FL; grandchildren, Corey and Christine Lambeth, and Hunter and Hayden Heilman; and one great grandchild, Reece Lambeth.She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Anna Burck; a son, Robert Michael Goodwin; 2 sisters, Lucy W. Jones, and Mary Kathleen Turnbull; and her husband, Kenneth J. Miller Sr.Maggie was born on July 17, 1936 in Cedar Rapids. She married Kenneth Miller in 1970. He died in 2003. She retired from Pennick and Ford and then went to work for Midland Forge until 1985. In past years Maggie enjoyed riding motorcycles, bowling, gambling, and cooking. She was an avid reader, and looked forward to the monthly Pennick and Ford Retirees meetings and trips to Tama. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles as well as a member of the Moose Lodge. She was known for clipping coupons. Her quick wit and stubbornness as well as her ability to overcome anything will be missed by family and friends. Memorials may be directed to the family.
