BLAIRSTOWN: Marcella E. Frimml Kimm, age 89, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo following a sudden illness. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Monday, November 20, 2006 at St. John Catholic Church in Blairstown with Father Keith L. Birch as Celebrant. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Marengo. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday where a Vigil Service will begin at 6 PM. A Memorial Fund has been established. Marcella was born October 16, 1917 near Marengo to George and Eva (Bekler) Frimml, Sr.. On February 21, 1939 she married Ervin L. Kimm at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Marengo. They began farming together near Williamsburg in Iowa County before moving and farming south of Watkins. They remained on their farm near Watkins until 1974 when they retired and moved to the home they had built in Blairstown. Ervin preceded his wife, in death on February 6, 1997. Marcella was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. John Catholic Church; the Marengo Garden Club. She loved to play cards and was a member of several card clubs. Marcella enjoyed gardening, flowers and embroidering. Her greatest joy in life came from her relationship with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Derald (Janet) Kimm of Watkins; her daughter, Bonita "Bonnie" (Eldon) Hansen of Fairfax; her grandchildren, Todd Kimm, Barry (Susan) Kimm, Amy (John) Ciesniewski, Brent (Heather) Kimm, Jeff (Camille) Roe, Scott (Karen) Roe, and Tony (Sheila) Roe; five step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lawrence (Irene) Frimml and Howard Frimml all of Marengo. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Frimml, Jr. and Martin Frimml.
