Donald Forrest Johnson, 89, of Belle Plaine and formerly of the Marengo area, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 in the Marengo Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. Services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church by Rev. Dean H. Duncan. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Luzerne. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the Hrabak Funeral Home and after 9:30 AM Tuesday at the church.

He is survived by: his wife, Eva; sons, Charley (Kandy) Johnson of Belle Plaine, Darrel (Margaret) Johnson of Marengo; daughter, Elizabeth (Larry) Thompson of Luzerne; brother, Robert (Wilma) Johnson of Rossville, IL; five grandchildren, Sara (Ben) Foley, Kara Johnson, Kristin Thompson, Megan Johnson, and Ross Johnson.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Asa and Abbie Bigbee Johnson; brothers, Clark, Wayne, Everett, Ralph, and Leo in infancy; sisters, Dorothy and Emeline.

A memorial fund has been established.
