Keith Eugene Weber, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly Sunday, October 15, 2006 at his residence. Services 9 AM Thursday October 19, 2006 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Thomas Carver of Shueyville United Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.Survivors include his four daughters and their husbands: Vickie Weber and Don O’Neill of Marion, Stephanie and Martin Shaw of Ely, Melody and Dennis Cook of Cedar Rapids, and Kim and Todd Davis of Vinton. His grandchildren Tony and Katie Cook, Karissa Davis, and Adalynn Shaw. He is also survived by a sister and a brother in law LaVonne (Bonnie) and Cecil Moore of Bartow, Florida, nieces and nephews, and friend Jane Severide.He was preceded in death by his wife of over 41 years, Marilyn, his parents Henry and Dade Weber, two brothers Donald and Jerry, and a grandson Christopher Cook.Keith was born September 28, 1929 in North English the beloved son of Henry and Dade (Blough) Weber. He graduated from North English High School in 1947 and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He married Marilyn Utterback in Sigourney on April 27, 1952. Keith worked at Wilson’s and Farmstead for over 40 years; he was the P-3 Union Chief Steward for many years. He was an avid hunter and trap shooter, and he was a life member of the Iowa State Trapshooting Association, the Amateur Trapshooting League, and the Otter Creek Gun Club. He spent many years on the Cedar Rapids Trapshooting League and was at one time the President and a Board Member. During his trapshooting years, he shot over 150, 000 16 yard targets, 75, 000 handicapped targets, and over 35, 000 doubles. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 5. Keith was a loving father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.A memorial fund in Keith’s honor has been established.
