Evelyn Lucille “Sally” Wille, was born on January 14, 1917, near South Amana, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Nina Jones Von Lienen. She attended Hilton Consolidated school in Conroy.. Evelyn was united in marriage to Alvin Werr on January 9, 1936, he died on February 1, 1965, she later married Earl Wille on Aug 6, 1968, he died on August 26, 1973. She enjoyed bowling in the Williamsburg and Marengo Bowling Leagues and attended a number of state and national tournaments. Evelyn resided in Conroy and Williamsburg communities. She worked at Lillis Clothing store and Peterson Drug in Williamsburg. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary since 1973. Evelyn died of an extended illness on Monday September 4, 2006 at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg, Iowa. She lived 89 years, 7months and 21 days. She is survived by a special friend and niece Fern ( Meyer) Fields and husband Harlan of Conroy, Iowa and many nieces and nephews; step-children: Lyle (Gay) Wille of Slidell, Louisiana, Loren (Zara) Wille of Denver, Colorado, Laverne (Margaret) Wille of Belle Plaine, Iowa, Leroy (Patty) Wille of Conroy, Iowa, and Laren Wille of Belle Plaine, Iowa; 13 step-grandchildren; and 16 step-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers William and Frederick and infant Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Pastor Donnita Payne Hostetler will officiate. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
