DIED. - John Toomey, one of Newton's oldest residents, died at his home in this city on last Thursday noon. The deceased was 73 years old and was in very feeble health. His remains were taken to Parnell, Iowa county, for interment, where he has a son and daughter living. ~ The Newton Journal (Iowa), Wednesday, April 12, 1893
