Blanche Parvin, age 92, of North English, formerly of Williamsburg, died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness. Funeral services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Rev. Mike Townsley officiating. Burial will be in the Lenox Cemetery, rural Norway. Friends may call after 9:30 A.M. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Edward Parvin and wife Rita of Mt. Home, Arkansas; a brother, Walter Kopf of Marshalltown; and five sisters, Mayme Cechura of Cedar Rapids, Irene Bahr of Cedar Rapids, Agnes Klein of Marion, Alice Barker and husband William of Cedar Rapids and Ann Binley of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George Kopf, two sisters, Helen Binz and Ruth Kopf, and a step-brother, Fred Puegner.

Blanche Mary Kopf was born March 3, 1914 in rural Iowa County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Anna Hagger Kopf. She received her education in the Iowa County Schools. She was a homemaker and enjoyed plants and flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed cooking and was an excellent baker. In 1976 Blanche moved to Hillside Estates, Williamsburg and in 2004 she made her home at the English Valley Care Center, North English, due to failing health.
