C. Donald Collins, 90, who resided with his daughter's family at 3409 Daniels St., Dubuque, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Dubuque. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, where a rosary service will begin at 6:30 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew's Church.
Don was born April 19, 1912, in Williamsburg, to John and Anne Garvey Collins. He graduated from Millersburg High School and attended Creighton University. On May 31, 1937, he married Mary Jeanne Berry in Norway. Don was employed at Iowa Manufacturing for 35 years and was financial secretary for the Knights of Columbus Council 909 for 26 years.

He was a life member and past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, Bowers Assembly 4th Degree, a longtime member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his children, E.J. Collins of Clarksville, Tenn., Karen (Larry) Kludt of Kennitt Square, Pa., Teri (Frank) Pisarik of Kenosha, Wis., Patti Collins of Providence, R.I., Anita (Bob) Sullivan of Dubuque and Tom Collins of Dubuque; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne, on March 7, 2002; a daughter, Kathleen; a grandson, Aaron Pisarik; three brothers; and three sisters.

The family has established a memorial fund in Don's name.
