Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 13 April 1888, p2.

We received by telephone Thursday, the sad intelligence that our old friend and neighbor Mr. Fraot, of Victor, was run over by the cars. He was walking on the track between the town and the mill, and being hard of hearing, he was not aware of the approach of the train until it was too near to escape a cruel death- Mr. Fraot was one of the noblest and truest of men, a christain who lives his religion, a man who did not have an enemy in the world. "The Pearly Gates" have opened very sudden and unexpected, but opened for all eternity. We can only go in response to the summons, and extend our heartfelt sympathy, but only the Divine master can comfort the friends in this the saddest hour of their lives.
