Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 6 April 1888, p3.

MARRIED:--At the residence of the bride's parents, in north Ireland, March 16, 1888, Mr. JOHN J. BLYTHE, of Williamsburgh, Iowa, and MISS JANIE GILMORE; the Rev. Mr. white officiating.

This explains why Mr. Blythe has had such a fancy for old Ireland, having made two trips across the Atlantic within the last few years. On the 17th, they started for their home on this side of the water, arriving here on the 24 nlt. Mr. Blythe is one of our best and most prosperous citizens, a gentleman of ability and character, worthy in every respect of the prize that he has won.

Miss Gilmore is of Scotch descent, from the north of Ireland; a lady of marked culture and refinement, one that was held in the highest esteem by her many friends and acquaintances in the Emerald Isle, and warmly welcomed by neighbors and friends on her arrival here.

Tuesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Blythe gave the young copule a reception at their beautiful country home 3 miles south-west of this city. Rev. W.R. Stewart and lady and about thirty other invited guests were present and to say that "all went merry as a marriage bell" only partly expresses the genuine friendships and hearty congratulations and well wishes that made the occasion one of genuine joy. At eight o'clock, supper and we must say that it was a bountiful repast, complete in all its compartments.

The JOURNAL warmly extends congratulations, hoping that Americas skies may ever be bright with the sunshine of joy, and that health and wealth may fall to the lot of this worthy couple.
