Roy Lantz
(December 29, 1906 - April 22, 1941)Roy Lantz, 34, Takes Own Life At Farm Home
Roy Lantz, 34-year-old farmer living southeast of Ida Grove, took his own life Tuesday night. He was found hanging from a rafter in the garage by his brother, George. No reason could be given by the family Wednesday morning for the act. Roy had been to Ida Grove during the evening and had come home sometime during the night. None of the family heard the car drive into the farm yard. His brother, upon awakening Wednesday morning, discovered that Roy had not been in the room during the night Roy’s body was found by George when he went to the barn to do the chores. Sheriff L. W. Kuhl and Coroner John Christensen investigated. Definite funeral plans had not been made up to press time Wednesday afternoon. Roy was born in Hayes Township on December 29, 1906. His father and sister preceded him in death. He is survived by five sister, Estella Walters, Emma Empey, New York, N. Y. Helen Saquety and Vera Stewart, and Ruth; and two brothers, George and John.
