Services for Mrs. Bremer
Honstein News - Mrs. Dora Bremer passes away quite suddenly Sunday evening, April 25. She was born in Resdorf, Germany, November 21, 1865. She came to America with her mother and brother and sisters. They located at Davenport, Ia. After several years they came to Ida County. She was married to Henry Bremer on October 13, 1882 and settled on a farm southwest of Holstein. In 1913 they moved to town. To this union seven children were born: John Bremer, Hugo Bremer, Mrs. Carl Sindt, Mrs. Henry Sindt, Mrs. Herman Sindt of Holstein; August Bremer of Cushing; and Mrs. Harry Ihnen of Harris, Ia. She also leaves one brother, Louie Michaelsen, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Herman Miss Mary Michaelsen, twenty grandchildren, one deceased, and seven great grandchildren. Her husband passes away May 2, 1830. The funeral was held Tuesday, April 23, from the Johnson funeral home with Rev. Runion officiating, Mrs. A. E. Hansen sang with Mrs. H. F. Enuth at the piano. Pallbearers were Henry Endrulat, Herman Engrefe, Harry Kistenmacher, Ben Lemke, Milton Ronik and Henry Friedreichsen. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Friedrichsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ewoldt took charge of the flowers. Interment was made in the Holstein cemetery. Out-of-town relatives and friends present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bendix, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Michaelsen, Correctionville, Mr. and Mrs. Max Beckwaldz, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Michaelsen, Mrs. Florence Michaelsen, Ida Grove; Mrs. Albert Ihnen, Lake Park, Ia, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ihnen, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ihnen, Ben and Red Ihnen, Harris, Ia., Mrs. Elmer McClintic, Schaller, Mrs. Adolph Andresen, Mrs. Henry Andresen, LeRoy Andresen, Hartford, S. D., Mrs. Lena Kuhl and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Campbell, Audubon, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kuhl, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kuhl, Mr. and Mrs. William Anthony, Mrs. Wilbur Anthony and Charley Kuhl, Manning.
