Death Summons Otto F. Bochmann
His Entire Life Was Spent In This Community
Otto Frederick Bochmann, son of Theodore Bochmanm and his wife Emma, nee Eichler, was born February 19, 1886 in Ida County, Iowa. Baptized in infancy, he received religious instruction and was confirmed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with the class of 1901. Mr. Bochmann lived on the same farm where he was born, during his whole life, working the farm in partnership with his brother, Bruno. For a number of years Mr. Bochmann had not been in good health. Recently an internal ulcer necessitated a major operation. Complications caused by a subnormal function of vital organs, made recovery impossible. After a few days of severe suffering he passed away Thursday, December 4, at 4:30 p.m.
Mr. Bochmann is survived by one brother, Bruno, with whom he had lived all his life; one sister, Mrs. Louis Gebers (Clara); one half-brother, Hermann and one half-sister, Mrs. Caroline Miller, all of Holstein. His age at the time of departure was 55 years, 9 months and 25 days. Burial services were held Sunday, December 7, at 2 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home, Rev. Nath. Matthels officiating. Miss Bernice Lomen rendered the hymns: “Strait in the Gate” and “Abide with me.” Mis s Clara Bergmann played the accompaniment. Interment was made in the Holstein cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Endrulat, Thorwald Kastner, Lefful Williams, Herman Hogrein, Vern Stewart, John Gebera.
