Adaline Y. Schuett
(January 14, 1924 – August 15, 2020)TRENTON, MO. – Services for Adaline Y. Schuett, 96, of Trenton, Mo., formerly of Holstein, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at United Methodist Church in Holstein with the Rev. Doresa K. Collogan officiating. Burial was in the Holstein Cemetery at Holstein with Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Holstein in charge of arrangements.
Adaline was born in Holstein Jan. 14, 1924, to Henry and Hazel Ewoldt. She graduated from Holstein High School. On Jan. 16, 1943, she married LeRoy Schuett in Madison, Wis., where he was stationed during World War II. Two sons, Gary and Dennis, were born to this union. After the war, they moved to the family farm northwest of Holstein and farmed there until retiring to town in 1987. Adaline loved to play golf and cards, and eating out with friends. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years. She loved being a Hugger Clown, performing as “Twinkle-Toes” in a group of friends that visited nursing homes throughout the area. Adaline died Aug. 15, 2020, at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Left to celebrate her life are her sons: Gary (Joyce) of Trenton, Mo., and Dennis (Emily) of Santa Barbara, Calif. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Michael Schuett, Robert (Amy) Schuett and Jennifer Smith; her great-grandchildren: Brenna, Xander, Mara, Connor and Carter Schuett, Myles and Adryelle Thornburg, Miya Smith and Teranea (Zack) Swanson; and a great-great-grandchild, Ashton Swanson.
