Barbara Elaine Trullender
(April 27, 1946 – December 11, 2020)

IDA GROVE – Services for Barbara Elaine Trullender, 74, of Ida Grove were held Dec. 17, 2020, at Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home in Ida Grove, with Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiating and burial in the Ida Grove Cemetery at Ida Grove. Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home in Ida Grove was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Barbara Elaine Trullender was born April 27, 1946, to James “Jim” and Elizabeth “Lib” (Cauble) Rickert in North Carolina. Her father served in the U.S. Air Force, which led Barbara to living on multiple Air Force bases in the United States. She died Dec. 11, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society-Holstein. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” and Elizabeth “Lib” Rickert, and a brother, Stan Rickert.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Tammy Trullender of Harley, Va.; Martha Ulrich of Ida Grove; Mike Ulrich of Arthur; and Richard (Salina) Ulrich of Villa Grove, Ill. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Ryan (Leia) Ladwig, Elizabeth (David) Scholten; Orry (Rebecca) Ladwig; and Kimberly Ulrich, Alexis Ulrich, Caitlyn Ulrich, Calli Ulrich, Aaron Ulrich, Makayla Ulrich, Axton Ulrich, Cora Shirley and Libby Ulrich.
