(December 10, 1934 - January 23, 2021)

HOLSTEIN – Graveside services for Jeanette I. Peterson, 86, of Holstein will be held at Diamond Township Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Fells officiating. This will be immediately following visitation.Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Holstein. She died peacefully Jan. 23, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society-Holstein. Jeanette Irene Gosch Peterson was born Dec. 10, 1934, to Lloyd and Evelyn (Wiebersch) Gosch, outside of Odebolt. Jeanette married Donald F. Peterson Nov. 16, 1953, in Schaller. To this union, four children were born: Jacqueline, Russell, Marcia and Michael.She was a homemaker and held several positions in the communities where they resided. Most notably, her favorite position was as a civil secretary for the Ida County Sheriff’s department. The family moved often, as Don was a U.S.D.A. meat inspector.
Jeanette is survived by her husband of 67 years, Don Peterson; and her children: Jacquie Sanchez of Aurora, Colo.; Russ (Diane) Peterson of Norfolk, Neb.; and Mike (Lori) Peterson of Cushing. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Anthony (Challeni Nuss) Sanchez, Minatare, Neb., and children: Jocyeln and Gavin Nuss; Teresa (Hemal Patel) Sanchez, Washington, D.C., and Evelyn Sanchez Patel; Andrea Sanchez, Fort Collins, Colo., and children: Maryssa and Mercedes Ramirez; Adam (Amber) Peterson, Norfolk, Neb., and children: Henry and Francis Peterson; Jenny Peterson, Omaha, Neb.; Danielle (Jason) Martin, Holstein, and children: Kyra, Aiden, Vada and Jase Martin; Noah Peterson, Correctionville; Ben (Jessica) Lau, Moville, and children: Audrey, Autumn, Gage, Tobias, Pacen and Charlie; and Shelbey (Chantz) Shermer, Burwell, Neb., and children: Josey Babcock and Colton Shermer.
Additional survivors are her brother, Jerry (Dee) Gosch, Terril; a sister, Kay (Cal) Muller, Norwalk; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Evelyn Gosch; a sister, Betty Sanders; a daughter, Marcia Peterson Loucks; and a granddaughter, Rashell Nelson.
