Forest Lyle McKay, born on June 22, 1893 in Corwin township, Ida County, Iowa to William W. and Mary McQuistion McKay, passed away at Horn Memorial-Hospital on April 4, 1968 at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 13 days.

Mr. McKay was reared and lived most of his life on the same farm in north west Corwin township, Ida County, Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Forney and to this union two sons were born. Robert Lyle in 1920 and George in 1925. Mrs. McKay died giving birth to George and he passed away a few months after his mother’s death. In April of 1929 Mr. McKay was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Rosenker and to this union four children were born, Bruce, Beverly. Bett> and Donna.

Through the years Mr. McKay had been an industrious farmer, raising purebred Poland China hogs However in April 1967. due to his decreasing health condition, the McKay’s bought a house in Ida Grove and moved to the home on May 25, 1967 His health steadily decreased and in September 1967 he was admitted into the Morningside Nursing Home where he resided. For many years he served as a school director in Corwin township

Surviving him are his widow, two sons. Bruce Verlin and Robert Lyle of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Betty Jean) Mentzer of Early, Iowa, Mrs. David (Beverly Dea) DePatie of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Mrs. R. James (Donna Lucille) Hudgel of Boulder, Colo; two sisters, Mrs. Merle (Genevieve) Way of Madison, Wisc., and Mrs. Florence Parmor of Ida Grove; one nephew Harlan McKay; fourteen grandchildren and other relatives and friends
