Mrs. Parks Buried at Battle Creek
Mrs. D. A. Parks, a former resident of Battle Creek, passed away at her home in Sioux City Sunday night at 9:30 o’clock after a short illness with pneumonia, having taken sick the Wednesday before her death. Dora E. Warren was born near Battle Creek, Feb. 27, 1887 and lived in that vicinity until a few years ago when she moved to Sioux City. She graduated from the Battle Creek high school in 1907, taught school for some time and was married to D. A. Parks in the spring of 1910. Three children were born to bless their home, Belthel, Lowell and Laurene, all of whom survive their mother. She also leaves the husband, one sister, Mrs. Paul Biery of Ida Grove, two brothers, W. A. Warren of Battle Creek and Frank Warren of Pakagan, Mich. Mrs. Parks was a member of the Methodist church from childhood and was deeply interested in the church and its work. The remains were brought to Battle Creek and funeral services were conducted at the home of W. R. Warren with Rev. Geo. W. Dunn in charge. Burial was made in the Battle Creek Cemetery.
