Mrs. Lena Johnk Passes Away; Funeral Services Held Saturday at Danbury Methodist Church
Mrs. Lena Johnk, aged 73, well known resident of Ida Grove passes away at her home Wednesday night, Oct 16, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Johnk was born at Lyons, Iowa, August 13, 1867. She lived at Oto nine years, at Danbury nine years and the past seven years were spent in Ida Grove. Her husband died on the Johnk farm near Danbury, May 13, 1907.
List Survivors
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Wonder, Mrs. Mamie Ferry, Ida Grove; Ruby Albertsen of Danbury, and four sons, Fred of Oto, John of Hood River, Ore., Gus of Milo, Alberta, Canada, and Leroy of Ida Grove. Also eleven grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Danbury Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. G. H. Hawn officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery southeast of Danbury.
