Mrs. L. Schuett Dies July 17; Funeral Services Held On Friday At the M.E. Church Here
Mrs. Laura Schuett passed away at the Ida Grove hospital Wednesday. July 17 after an acute illness of a few days, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 21 days. Mrs. Schuett was born in Scott County, Iowa, December 26, 1857. She had been a resident of Ida Grove for the past forty years, and had been in failing health for some time due largely to her advanced age. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Clara.
Thirteen Children
Her passing is mourned by her thirteen children: Mrs. Matilda Smith, Pampa, Texas; John, Cherokee; Herman, South Dakota; Mrs. Annie Jensen, Grand Rapids, Mich.; August, Tama; Mrs. Minnie Peterson, Sleepy Eye, Minn.; Emil, Battle Creek; Peter and Otto, Ida Grove; Mrs. Mary Severns, Aberdeen, S.D.; Mrs. Laura Lampe, Hollywood, Calif.; Henry and Louie at home. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. H. E. Whyte officiating. Burial was made in the Ida Grove cemetery under the direction of Moore Bros.
