Funeral services were held at the Arthur Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, July 3, for Edner Linholt, 48, a farmer living four miles south of Arthur, a victim of self-inflicted death. Rev. A. A. Erickson officiated. He was a World War veteran, having entered the services on July 29, 1918. Military services were held at the grave. Mr. Linholt shot himself through the right temple with a .22-calibre rifle Sunday morning between eight and nine o’clock. He died at 6:40 that evening. The shooting occurred in the barn yard on his farm. Mr. Linholt walked to the house and was taken to the Odebolt hospital. He did not lose consciousness until about one o’clock that afternoon.
