Martha Christiansen, age 91, of Arthur, died Friday, October 16, 1998, at Morningside Rehab & Care Center in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 19, 1998, at the Christiansen-Chia Funeral Home in Ida Grove, Iowa, with Dr. Herbert Johnson officiating. Burial was in Morgan Township Cemetery, Schleswig, Iowa.

Born August 1, 1907, in San Francisco, California. Martha was the daughter of George and Barbara Partmann Schlict.

Her family includes three sisters-in-law and their spouses. Mabel and Harold Wunschel of Arthur, Loween and George Lansink of Odeboldt and Viola and Ray Namanny of Ida Grove.

Pallbearers were: Donald Siebrecht, Terry Oxendale, John Oxendale, Dale Ullrich and Pete Renze.
