Mary H. Conard
(June 8, 1861 - March 14, 1943)OBITUARY
Mrs. Harry E. Conard, 81, long-time resident of Ida Grove of Quaker faith passed away suddenly at her home Sunday afternoon, March 14, 1943. She had been sick with a cold for two weeks, but remained active. With her were her husband and her niece, Mrs. Frank E. Day. The Conards would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Sept.
Mrs. Conard was loved by many and especially endeared to those to whom she gave a home, Mrs. Day and the three grandchildren, Marjorie Murray, LeRoy Conard, who preceded her in death last summer, and Harlan Conard.
Mrs. Conard, nee Mary Honor Price, was born at Gunpowder, Md., the daughter of Moses D. and Ann W. Price, on June 8, 1861. She married Harry E. Conard in Sept. 5, 1883.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Raymond, Ida Grove, and the following grandchildren: Marjorie Murray, Sioux City, Harlan Conard, Cherokee, Tech. Sgt Jarrett Conard, in service in North Africa, Homer Conard, Minneapolis, Minn., Elizabeth Conard Mellingen, So. San Franciso, Ca., Feryl Fouts, Battle Creek, 2nd Lieut. Wm. Conard, CA., Patricia Conard, Ida Grove, and her niece, Mrs. Frank E. Day, Huntington, Indiana. Two sons, Morris and William, preceded her in death. Conley Wolterman, July 2004
