FLORENCE ALBERS

Services were Thursday for Florence Albers, 71, of Correctionville, at Grace Lutheran Church in Correctionville. The Rev. Robert Bayer officiated with burial in the Midway Cemetery in rural battle Creek under the direction of Christensen Funeral Home of Battle Creek.

Mrs. Albers died last Monday at a Sioux City hospital.

Mrs. Albers, the former Florence Rehse, was born March 24, 1916, in Ida County. She married Walter “Bob” Albers Sept. 2, 1936, in Battle Creek. The couple lived in Battle Creek most of their married life, moving to Hostein in 1969 and to Correctionville in 1977. Mr. Albers died Nov. 1, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell of Holstein and Larry of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
