Dies At Home In
Battle Creek SundayFuneral services for Mrs. Viggo Brock, 60, who died Sunday at her home in Battle Creek were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, February 12, 1957, in Christensen Funeral home. Rev. Albert C. J. Kellow, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Brock was born in Battle Creek on May 11, 1896, and was a lifelong resident of that community.
Survivors are the widower, Viggo; a daughter, Miss Doris Brock of Des Momes; two sons, Robert of Battle Creek and Basil of Bode, la., and five grandchildren.

Grace (Fowler) Brock, 60, passed away on Feb. 10, 1957 in her home from an extended illness.
She was born on May 11, 1896, to Richard A. and Mary (Lewis) Fowler on a farm 3 miles west of Battle Creek, Iowa. Funeral services for Grace Brock were held Feb. 12, 1957, with Rev. Albert C. J. Kellow of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ida County, Battle Creek, Iowa.
On June 14, 1924 she was united in marriage to Viggo M. Brock in the Trinity Church at Orange City, Iowa, at 6:30 p.m. with the ceremony performed by Rev. Steuneberg. Three children were born to them: Basil, Robert B., and Doris.
Grace was a 1915 graduate of the Battle Creek High School and later attended the Storm Lake Commercial School. She filled positions with the telephone company, with the Farmers Savings Bank of Battle Creek, and with the Sioux Abstract Co. at Orange City, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Viggo; two sons, Basil and Robert B. of Battle Creek; a daughter, Doris, of Des Moines, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Mary B. Fowler, of Battle Creek; 4 brothers, Lynn of Battle Creek, Floyd of Atlantic, Iowa, Jesse of Fallon, Nevada and Glen of Indianapolis, Indiana; and many other relatives and friends.
