Albert L. Vickery died at his home in Ida Grove Friday night, January 23, 1953, after a long illness. He was 57 years, three months and 22 days of age.

Mr. Vickery, "Pat" to everyone who knew him, was born at Armour, S. D., October 1, 1895. When he was two years old the family moved to Ida Grove where he has lived ever since.

On July 21, 1921, he was united in marriage with Fern Macklem. Two daughters were born to them.

Pat was a member of Kane lodge, No. 377 A.F. & A.M., Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem, Sioux City Consistory No. 5, Ida Grove Commercial Club, McNainara-Moore post No. 61, American Legion and the local fire department.

He was a veteran of World War I, having served over two years, one of which was in France. After his discharge from the army in 1919 he started an electric business of his own and worked there until his health failed.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Petersen (Patricia) and Mrs. Harold Menter (Rosemary); two grandchildren, Mark W. and Kristi Petersen; two brothers, Purl of Ida Grove and Leslie of Battle Creek; three sisters: Mrs. Florence Mess of Park Rapids, Minn.; Mrs. Mabel Pilcher and Mrs. Gladys Piper of Ida Grove.

Funeral services were held at the Church of God on Monday at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. N. C. Andresen officiating. John King sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Sunrise," accompanied by Mrs. John Collier. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery. Pall bearers were Carl Watson, " Will Yorty, Glen Janssen, Arlo Forney, Marvin Buffington and Will Prosch.
