Death of Mrs. E.D.Bullock of Galva
Mrs. E.D. Bullock passed away at her home in Galva at 10 a.m. Tuesday May 15, after a short illness. She was taken down with pneumonia, a week before and this disease was the cause of her death.
Funeral services were held Thursday from the Methodist church at Galva. Burial was made in the Ida Grove cemetery.
Minnie L. Hickman was born in Joe Davis county, Illinois, April 1, 1877. She came to Ida county, with her parents in 1881 and resided in Silver Creek township north of Holstein until her marriage to Charles Mills on December 30, 1897. To this union five children were born, Cecil, now Mrs. Elveen Nelsen; Essie, Mrs. Marineus Skou [sic]; and Opal, Mrs. Clarence Goettsch all of Galva; Bessie Cope of Ida Grove and Carl Mills of Storm Lake and one daughter who died in infancy. Mr. Mills passed away in October 1922. Mrs. Mills and daughter Opal and son Carl moved to Galva to reside. She was united in marriage to E.D. Bullock November 26, 1923, at Sac City and has since resided at Galva. She is survived by her husband, four daughters and one son, 18 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Dodd, of Shindler, S.D., and many relatives and friends.
Mrs. Bullock had been a member of the Methodist church for many years and faithful church worker.
