Duane P. Haley, of Sac City, Ia., passed away on Fri. Dec. 29, 2006 at his home in rural Sac County.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. , Tues. Jan. 2nd, at the Presbeterian Church in Early. Burial will be in the Cory Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Farber and Otteman Funeral home with full militery rites by the V.F.W. Post 195 of Sac City.
Duane was born on June 22, 1932, in Omaha, Neb. the son of Walter and Mildred Haley. He was baptized as an infant in Lyons, Nebr., attended country school near Sac City and graduated from the Sac City High School. He continued his education at Iowa State College in Ames. Duane served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955.
On Feb. 4, 1956 Duane and Joan Dyslin were married at the Methodist Church in Aurelia. 4 children were born to this union: They made their home west of Sac City where they farmed.
Duane was a member of the Sac City Lions, American Legion, and Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Early.
Those left to mourn his passing include his wife; Daughters; Dawn Freeze and her husband Larry of Early, Rhonda Giebelstein and husband Jerry of Ames, Teresa Stoll and her husband Dave of Primghar Ia. , son Todd Haley of Pomeroy. 10 Grand-children and 3 great-grandchildren
Duane was preceded in death by his parents and brother Danny Haley.
